The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and the International Relations Area of FLACSO Argentina launch the 2026/2027 cohort of the Master's in International Relations with an international seminar offering a critical reading of the contemporary multilateral order.
In a context marked by the rise of coercive unilateralism and the reconfiguration of the capacities of regional and international actors, the meeting will bring together leading specialists to reflect on the scope and limits of global and regional governance as frameworks for collective action. Strategic autonomy—of both states and regional blocs—emerges as a central axis of debates regarding foreign policy, integration, and international security.
The seminar will feature the participation of José Antonio Sanahuja (Complutense University of Madrid) and Cintia Quiliconi (FLACSO Ecuador), two top-level experts in the study of governance, regional integration, and Latin American foreign policy. The session will be moderated by Melisa Deciancio (FLACSO Argentina – CEJMGGR).
Thursday, March 19 · 6:30 to 8:00 PM · FLACSO Argentina Auditorium
Open to students, faculty, researchers, and anyone interested in the subject.
